Chapter 1957
Chapter 1957: 558 slid in all at once
ā¦
Tearing the Planar Barrier.
Within the Star Realm Void between the second layer and Shadow Core.
The Heavenly Deer, Matthew transformed into, roamed nearby for quite a while, eventually finding a safe fulcrum to transform back into human form.
Then.
He summoned Hibbert and Vivien from Lost Paradise.
Utilizing the āShattered Lightā that intermittently erupted from the astral world.
The three spellcasters gazed into the distance.
The outline of the Shadow Core, obscured in the vast darkness, gradually disclosed itself.
Snap!
Hibbert formed a super-large bubble, enveloping all three within.
Thus.
They could communicate normally as they would in the material world.
This type of bubble generally could also somewhat adjust the variable gravity of the astral world, offering more abundant conditions for physical adaption.
āI originally thought that by using the power of the Heavenly Deer I could directly penetrate the Shadow Core, but now it seems I was overly simplistic.ā
āThe Shadow Core itself is a fully sealed space; Beckman only left four passageways linking to the second layer, and not only are these encrypted and protected by the Shadow Domain, their endpoints invariably lead directly behind the gates of the Shadow Castle.ā
āAside from these passageways, the surface of the Shadow Core is scattered with many crystal wall-like substances, resembling a Planar Barrier. My intuition tells me they are extremely dangerous, and I dared not approach them.ā
āWhatās left are the numerous bubbles between the Core and the second layer, resembling the āundercurrentsā in the Void Turbulence, giving me the same sense of dangerā¦ā
Matthew rapidly informed the other two of his observations.
Vivien immediately spoke:
āYou did right not to go near; both the bubbles and the crystal wall substances are very dangerous.ā
āThe bubbles are highly oscillatory structures formed from the remnants of shattered planes, washed by Void Turbulence, carrying properties of destruction. Any normal beings or objects getting near them would be wiped out by the terrifying obliteration.ā
āTheir power is no less formidable than facing a destructive storm within the Void Turbulence directly.ā
āAnd those special crystal walls, if Iām not mistaken, are harvested from the āRotten White Coral Zoneā at the edge of the Multiverse.ā
āAt the dawn of the Multiverse, the crystal walls at the edges of the universe served as barriers protecting us from the invasion of outsiders. However, these walls gradually lost their original properties after millions of years of external erosion.ā
āIāve read a travelogue by a Legendary-mage where he stated clearly that the crystal walls from the āRotten White Coral Zoneā have undergone severe corrosion, supposedly related to a colossal star beast lurking just beyond the walls, perhaps its saliva has corroded parts of the crystal, resulting in some fragments gaining properties of decay, regeneration, and assimilation.ā
āThat Legendary-mage discovered through research that any fleshly body touching these types of crystal would quickly begin crystallization. If not amputated in time, one might turn into part of the crystal wall within five minutesā¦ā
Vivienās tone was quite serious, even somewhat fearful.
Matthew nodded slightly.
He, too, had observed traces of high crystallization of astral creatures near the crystal walls.
This was one of his major reasons for not rashly approaching.
āThis means, itās nearly impossible for us to bypass those four passages and enter the Shadow Core directly.ā
āTo access the passages, we need to return to the battlefield, or at the very least, to the vicinity of the Shadow Castleās gates?ā
Matthew frowned slightly.
This mismatches his planned strategy.
He certainly does not want to attract hostility from Glacia and Beckman at this critical juncture!
Vivien showed a hint of difficulty.
Hibbert proposed:
āI could use the Time Domain to halt the flow of time around the crystal wall and then drill a large hole through itā¦ā
Vivien immediately objected:
āNo.ā
āAside from the fact that such a crystal wall can hardly be drilled through, the priority of Time Domain in a place like the Star Realm might not be higher than the crystal wall itself.ā
āItās too dangerous, and youāve already exceeded the limit on the number of times you can use time magic today!ā
Hibbert was stunned:
āThereās a limit on how many times I can use time magic?ā
āWhy didnāt I know about this?ā
Vivien snorted:
āStarting today, there is!ā
Hibbert wanted to say more, but Matthew pulled on his sleeve, signaling him to keep calm.
Vivienās concerns were not excessive.
Approaching such dangerous materials with oneās physical body was indeed not wise.
Matthew pondered:
āPerhaps I should go back alone to take a look; hmm, Iāll bring along three Legendary Rogues, that should solve the issue of opening the doorsā¦ā
Vivien thought for a moment:
āThereās another way; we could seek help from that Legendary-mage who has visited the Rotten White Coral Zone. He has conducted extensive research on such crystal materials and is also renowned for his travel through the astral world.ā
Matthew curiously asked:
āWhich mage is so capable?ā
Vivien spoke seriously:
āItās Mr. Edmond.ā
Matthew suddenly realized.
If itās Edmond, thatās reasonable.
This Superior Legend is quite all-rounded, bearing a trace of Isabelleās grace; however, getting his help might not be easy and whether thereās enough time is also a concern.
āBy the way, that Volcano Mage Erin, he must be one of Edmondās, I saw the Snake Mountain Sect badge on himā¦ā
